First Mentors' Retreats

Each quarter FirstMentors sponsors a retreat. Half day retreats are held at the Center for Community Cooperation. Full day retreats are held at church camps and conference centers. Past topics have included "Looking and Listening for God," "Faith in the Face of Illness, Injury and Injustice," "The Christian Hope," "Stir What You've Got!" and "Leaving a Legacy".
Our Spring 2010 retreat was "Presidential Praise: Our Presidents and their Hymns " with Dr. Ed Spann.
Intergenerational Events

FirstMentors regularly sponsors intergenational events with FirstYouth and First Kids. The picture above shows FirstKids and FirstMentors working together on One Great Day of Service. <Click here> to read about our next intergenerational even Tuesday Night at the Movies.
Senior Issues Forum
Each winter FirstMentors invites a panel of experts to tackle issues relevant to all who are over 50 whether they have retired, will soon retire or don’t plan to retire at all. The format includes a brief presentation by each of our panelists, then a round of questions from the group, and finally some time for one on one dialogue with panel members. Panelists include experts in medicine, law, finance, insurance, medicare and end of life issues.
