Sitting at the crossroads of Ross and Harwood in downtown Dallas provides FirstChurch unique opportunities to serve within and outside our walls. From welcoming visitors to our historic building to supporting neighbors just blocks from our doors, we are proud to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in this world.
As we discern together how to unify and mobilize our faith community, we have key volunteer roles to fill in order to deliver the best FirstChurch experience. Sign up for volunteer role that speaks to your gifts and talents. Below are several critical areas that need support.
If none of these roles are a fit, click the links below the form to view all volunteer opportunities!
Greeters – This important ministry involves serving as a friendly face as members and guests enter onto our church campus on Sunday morning. You may be asked to provide directions to basic locations within the church such as restrooms, the Sanctuary and the children’s area. Greeters are scheduled to serve one month per quarter in hour shifts throughout Sunday morning.
Prayer Team – Our prayer team is made up of faithful members who volunteer one day a month to be in prayer for the names of persons who have requested prayer, and for other members who are experiencing ill health, rough times in their lives, as well as joys. Some volunteers come and spend quiet time at the church and some pray at home.
Insiders Visitation Ministry – The Insiders Visitation Ministry provides the continued love of Christ through contact and support to members who may no longer have the ability to attend worship every Sunday. Volunteers for this ministry have the unique opportunity to bring the love of FirstChurch to our Insiders and keep them connected to their church through a once-a-month visit and/or phone call.

Children’s Choirs – A pool of six volunteers is needed to assist with Cantate Choir (Grades 2-3) and Counterpoint Choir (Grades 4-6).
