Groups & Classes

We are a diverse, loving community inviting interaction and open interpretation of scripture and beliefs while supporting each other in navigating the balancing act of mid-life.

Room G08

Members of Class, Etc. vary in age, marital status, theology, and political views, but all of us join together to care about each other and our community and to grow as Christian disciples.

Cornerstone Room

Couples and singles of all ages and diverse interests who enjoy lively discussion and thought-provoking study. The class is bound together by a covenant in which all persons are equally valued and all viewpoints are accorded respect. Covenant is a reconciling class who welcomes people of all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, disabilities and sexual orientations.

Room G05

The Doubl-Aires Class formed in 1961 when single adults started finding their soulmates in what started out as Singl-Aires. Strong commitment to FirstChurch and class members’ energy and vitality continue to attract new members as the class provides strong leadership within the church.

Crossroads Center West

A welcoming group that meets to discuss themes and books which are chosen by class members and guest leaders.

2nd Floor, Room 213

G06 is a friendly mix of diverse personalities from across the Metroplex who enjoy exploring a wide variety of topics in our discussion-based class as we seek to live our Christian faith in our daily lives. We are involved in numerous activities within the church and enjoy social fellowship times. Our ages range from 40s to 80s; some are retired, others are not We welcome ALL to come visit us – our start time is 9 am, and we have goodies!

We are committed to one another through daily living, challenging seasons and joys of life while seeking to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Room G07

Our class is interested in development and spiritual growth through comprehensive study of various biblical texts applying them in a modern context.

Room G04

We are a lively group with young children. We love to learn more about scripture study, be involved with church-wide projects, and enjoy socializing outside of the church setting. Our group is a great support system for new parents!

Room G09

Active and engaged families, with young kids to college students, deeply committed to the lives of each other and the work of the church.

Room G10

We are a progressive Christian community for Generations X, Y, and Z, focusing on those without children, seeking a space to question, grow, and find belonging. We embrace those on a journey of deconstructing or reconstructing their faith, offering a welcoming environment grounded in the love of Jesus. At XYZ, we strive to cultivate an inclusive space where everyone, regardless of their background or identity, can question, explore spiritual truth, experience love, and find rest. Our mission is to create a home where all feel they belong—whether for a season or a lifetime.

Room G11

We are a community of parents with young children, welcoming you just as you are, whenever you are available. Our class upholds a no-homework policy, focusing on fostering mutual support through parenthood and life’s challenges.
